Beer, Rachel (Richa)
(1858-1927)
   British newspaper publisher and editor. Born in Bombay, she was brought to England at an early age. After serving as a voluntary hospital nurse, she married F. A. Beer. In 1893 she bought the Sunday Times and became its editor. She was also a gifted musician.
